At 19 years of age, Martin Owen, current manager of Ocean Wetsuits, pursued his interests and formed a backyard dive school named Ocean Divers. With the heavy involvement of Abalone Wetsuits, Ocean Divers soon grew, eventually moving to Moorabbin.

It was here that Martin truly employed his ocean experience. His years of fishing and spearfishing, and sailing and working as a professional scuba diver, manifested during the slow winter months. He began to experiment with wetsuit designs and create patterns that could be tailored to the individual. With the realisation of his true interest and skill, Martin sold Ocean Divers and earnestly formed Ocean Wetsuits. Since then the company has continued to grow, with a tight-knit body of staff and the addition of Colin Ellicott bringing his experience to the role of Production Manager.

To this day Ocean Wetsuits maintains friendly customer service and a unique array of specialty products engineered from experience.
